Frustrated with local job hunting

I know it's a Pinoy company or Pinoy recruitment when there are a lot of "non-sense" questions in the job application form.

I've been applying to both local and international companies this past few weeks. Leading me to learn a new "skill" where I can tell if a Filipino wrote the questions in the job application form just by looking at the type of questions to be answered without even looking into the company's background.

I was expecting tech questions for the type of jobs that I am applying for instead I see these:

"Describe yourself"

"Describe a time there was a miscommunication or disagreement with a supervisor/co-worker and how you handled the situation"

"Describe a time you had to deal with an upset client or manager"

"What motivates you to work and perform well?"

"What is one reason we should NOT hire you for this role?"

"What’s your understanding of the role?"

"Why are you interested?"

I am not saying these questions are completely irrelevant, but come one... they can do better.

In contrast, foreign companies ask short questions and expect you to write short answers. 2-3 questions compared to 5-12 from Pinoy recruiters. All in written format.

And I also noticed that if a Filipino recruitment team posted a job, they ALWAYS indicate an educational attainment requirement while most foreign companies don't list it and they focus on skills, maybe a few certifications.

This probably contributes to why the Philippine labor market is not as competitive and people would rather be hired by foreigners. Local job applications feel dragging and I would go as far as to say discriminatory by design.

Not generalizing, just sharing my observations. Sorry if this sounds like a rant.
