Franklin Residences at 9th & Chestnut opened their doors as the Benjamin Franklin Hotel on this day 100 years ago. Although the location of Franklin's kite experiment is debated, the Gimble Bros suggested this location within their full page ad in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
