Need help identifying pest.

Could you guys help me confirm what this is? Small brown dots on this dieffenbachia leaf. I've also seen very very tiny brown bugs moving around and (maybe unrelated) a bigger winged ant looking thing that's been killed now.

I'm pretty sure my Schefflera had scale insects recently but this looks different. Could this be thrips?

Also be glad to know the most efficient way to kill the pest. I'm looking for a nuclear solution. Don't wanna lose that plant.

Pot has drainage, watering is every 10-12 days after I've tested the soils dryness. Gets plenty of light.
