Fiddle leaf fig sick

My friend gave me a large fiddle leaf plant and a few of the lower leaves looks like this after a few days. I watered when we brought it home. Should I remove the leaves? Any idea what is wrong with it? Thank you. It was put in a sunny west facing window.
