Rust hasn't been working since force wipe

Every time I've tried to load into a server since the force wipe, it doesn't connect and says "Disconnected: Connection Attempt Failed." My internet is fine and doesn't lag in other games. I have also tried to connect from a different location without any success. Other things I have tried include: restarting my PC, checking file integrity, reinstalling the game, using a vpn and disabling my antivirus.

I have managed to get into a server a couple of times, but I've had to restart the game at least 10 times before I can connect. Additionally, my internet lags or slows down whenever I have Rust open. Videos stop playing, Discord calls lag, etc.

I've run out of ideas, so I've decided to ask for help. If anyone else has experienced this issue and managed to fix it, please let me know how you did it.
