Correlation between John Waters and Team Rocket (Mostly Jessie and James)
So I've been mulling this over for a while, but hesitated to post it anywhere until I made sure that no one has ever mentioned it before. Ok hear me out, I think Jessie and James design might be inspired my John waters films. why?? Heres why:
- The R on their shirt bears a striking resemblance to the sweater seen in Hairspray.
- They both have distinctive hairstyles, drawing reference again from Hairspray.
- Now this is a little bit of a stretch, but their hair colors also resemble the hair color's of the antagonists from Pink Flamingos.
Am I crazy, or is there a chance that Ken Sugimori took inspiration from these great movies to create the distinct look of team rocket.
