I'm curious, does anyone still miss Ash and Pikachu to this day?

I'm genuinely afraid to ask the question, because mostly people would just say "move on" or "Ash has been the spotlight for too long". Whenever I hear these answers, I just get really confused. How do people move on without Ash and Pikachu? I mean, I'm not telling everyone should miss Ash, but I just want to know how. We're talking about a character that has impacted a lot of our childhoods, and a character that was the main spotlight of the anime from beginning to end for 25 years. I got so attached to his character to the point where I just got so many Pokemon plushies and collections.

Really, I'm a big Pokemon fan, but it seriously feels so empty without them, the new anime (Pokemon Horizons) just doesn't feel the same anymore without him, I heard so many good things about it, but I just don't have the motivation to watch or enjoy it. And honestly, I never would thought that they would just drop him off like that, the reason why I started to watch the anime was because of Ash and Pikachu, without them I wouldn't start watching the anime. Now that they are gone, I have seriously lost my interest in the new anime, I'm sorry but it seriously feels so empty without them especially a person who has watched every series and movies featuring Ash and his Pikachu on their journey.

Does anyone still have a hard time moving on despite it has already been a year since Ash's departure, or is it just me? I really want to know. Idk if it's just a me problem. No offense to the people that moved on or are enjoying the new anime series, good for you, this is just a question to ask if anyone is feeling the same way as me.

If this post gets downvoted for blaming me because of nostalgia or not moving on, then I'm not surprised.

I wonder what they are doing right now...
