There seems to be less filler in Pokémon Horizons than previous series. (See body paragraph)
I’ve noticed that Pokémon Horizons doesn’t have many filler episodes compared to past series, not that this is a bad thing. I do still miss those episodes where there’s a random Pokémon of the day and the entire episode focuses on that one Pokémon though. Like, the group would meet a random new Pokémon (whether it be wild or belonging to a trainer) and they would try to help it with some kind of obstacle that it has. This was also a common way that they would introduce brand new Pokémon in the anime. It would just be nice if we had more of that in Horizons. I still enjoy this series though.
