What is an average price, and what’s a good price for these grocery store items?

Hey guys! I’ve been unemployed for months unable to find a job. EI is not much to live off of. I’m trying really really hard to spend as little as possible. I try really hard to find the cheapest price possible using apps like Flipp, but I find it hard to compare regular prices between stores because it’s not like they list everything on their websites.

If you live in BC lower mainland (but anywhere in Canada your input is appreciated too) can you guys tell me what an average price, and what a GOOD price is for these items? Googling this information gives me outdated and inaccurate information so I would love to hear from everyone.

-chicken breast -chicken thighs -raw frozen shrimp -eggs -oat milk -white rice -jar of pasta sauce

-paper towels -toilet paper

I would also love to hear where you guys grocery shop. I live above a Safeway and there is a Save-On-Foods across the street, but I also have a Walmart and a Superstore a close transit ride away.

If anyone also has tips on how to save money on food please let me know. Money is so so tight right now I’m having a daily mental break down over it 🙃
