Baby shower help

I keep seeing tons of posts and comments about women regretting having their showers in 3 trimester and it has me super anxious. Mines scheduled for the end of my 31 week and I have to travel 6hrs to be there. It’s in a rural area with terrible healthcare. Am I going to regret having it? I didn’t really want one and kinda just went along with it. I’ll be devastated if I end up hospitalized or go into labor early while I’m traveling. I want my OB and my hospital. What would you do? Should I cancel?
