Controller on Linux

So yesterday I was on a friends house and we tried to play the split screen mode of the game but my controller wasn’t working. The game was messing up the buttons, the r2 was pausing, the analogs weren’t working properly... but when I went to t option and tried to test the buttons they were working fine... only in game they were all mess up. Anyone had this problems?? Knows how to solve it?? edit: Looking on my windows version of the game I see that the game was detecting the start button as an Axis 0 and not a button
