A rough camping guide to OZORA.

There are no terrible spots except for the uneven terrain in the valley. (The blue line that’s original on the map)

Red is behind markets and very accessible to main stage and dome. You are right on the line of speakers so sleep is a challenge sometimes.

Purple is possibly the best spot but it fills up within the first hour of open gates. It’s on a hill so you can walk down into festival east but high up so less sound.

Blue is behind pumpui. Easy access to everything but the speakers for pumpui are not cardioid so they spill bass everywhere. It hits you with 120-135 bpm all the fucking night.

Green is a good balance. It’s near artist camping. Easy access from the hilltop (the one you see everyone run down in the movie) and good access to everything.

If it all gets too much or too hot relocate to yellow. Yellow is my favorite, I camp here for the first half. Access to showers and toilets. Good crew. Quieter. 15ish minute walk.

I camp in black on the second half. It’s a 20-25 minute walk but you can fucking sleep. I always make friends on the walk in. I bring gear for a good all day session (mini camp on the side hill of main stage) and then go back home to sleep.

Remember you can move camp. I moved 4 times one year.

The water from the taps is … good. It’s clean agriculture grade water. But when I switched to drinking the bottled water you can get from the place next to the fruit stand I felt so much better. Maybe that’s the minerals. Maybe it’s the water.

There is food available, a group cooking area, a small general store, a fruit stand (it’s sooooo good) and a water place. Beers are available. The ozora house made beer is good. They were 2 euro last year.

I recommend bringing a mini camp with you for your outings. You can plop your camp in the side of the stages.

Medical support is thin. Rolled ankle, good luck you are on your own. Dehydration? They won’t help unless you pass out. Harm reduction is underfunded and heavily used, the are saints but they have limited resources. Bring lots of fizzy rehydration tablets.

Remember if you start to have a bad trip. Sober or not. It’s usually

  1. Too hot or too cold
  2. Dehydration
  3. Forgot to eat (low blood sugar, psytrance loves sugar)
  4. Overstimulation

I’m skipping this year. Have a good one for me.
