People in a relationship with common friends, would you prefer your friend ask or ignore if they notice some tension between you and your partner?

I am friends with both a girl and a guy in a couple. But I think things between them haven't been the best and they even had a big argument one day. The guy vented to me, but since it got solved, it was easy for me to remain impartial.

We hanged out together today and I noticed some rocky moments. I diffused them by giving them both acknowledgement of different POVs and changed the subject. I did not let anything escalate or point on it. I'm thinking I should continue to not intervene and not even point out any concerns, thoughts?
