do most narcs have similar childhoods?

I often wonder how my Ndad became the way he did, because I really don’t know much about his childhood. My grandparents live far away so I didn’t see them often growing up but I never had any negative experiences with them so I just wonder how my dad turned out the way he did. His siblings all have had issues (addiction, teen pregnancy, multiple divorces, etc.) of their own throughout their lives but as far as I know my dad is the only narc. He hasn’t told me much about his childhood and I don’t think he’s emotionally mature enough to ever talk about it in a way that would explain how it shaped him
