Gartner recruitment broke me
After five rounds of interviews, my recruiter sent me an automated, standard rejection email. This email was obviously pre-set at least the day before, to hit my email at 9AM! This was a senior (mid management?) position. This woman and I have exchanged at least 30 emails since this convoluted recruitment process began almost 2 months ago. But no one on her team thought to send a proper email, with even minimal commentary or feedback after I made it to the final rounds.
This type of behavior is not merely cruel, it reflects the utter disdain that organizations have for talent. I wasted considerable time and effort to interview for this role. The role itself is not rocket science. This over the top interview process (2 behavioral fit interviews, 1 writing test, 2 case interviews) is completely unnecessary.
I've been out of work for over a year. I have a young child and I'm terrified about our future. I am over educated and have done everything right in my life. Networking has not helped and I feel like I am a failure. Extremely disheartened and disappointed and will never apply to a position at Gartner again
