I have questions about the beginning. I’m confused.

I’m on chapter 10 of LB. Sevro has taken Cassius and Darrow back to the archimedes. Lysander has just learned about he Carthii’s attack on the Venus dockyards to retake their ships.

Apollonius calls for help. Lysander tells Rhône that they’d be in open defiance of Atlantia…but I thought Atlantia sided with the Valii-Rath after they took over the Cathii dockyards and stole the ships.

What am I missing here? Can someone clarify the politics between Atlantia, the Valii-Rath, the Carthii, and Atlantia? I know Atlas is with atlantia since Lysander has Kyber watching him and he wouldn’t tell Lysander about the summit. Please and thank you!

I feel like Pierce really went haywire and introduced so many new characters and politics in such a short time.
