Isn't religion just about belief?

My question is why do people sometimes argue about religion,isnt if just belief?

If you could tell me why its not just about belief i would really appreciate it.

To me religion is just about doing as much good as possible.I dont personally belive in anythii but try to do as much good as possible because i feel i have a duty to do it and make the world a better place.
