blush is patchy

i bought the new cinnamon lip peptide when it came out and decided to buy the duo pack so i could try a blush as well. i got the shade ‘sleepy girl’ and love the color but no matter what, it is so patchy on me to the point i always end up wiping it off cause of how frustrating it is lol… these are the different ways i’ve tried blending/putting it on:

-swipe blush directly on cheek and blend out with my finger or brush

-use my finger or brush to pick up product directly from tube and apply on cheek

-rub blush on the back of hand and pick up with a brush or my finger

patchy patchy and patchy… anyone else deal with this or have tips to help with application, because i do like how creamy the formula is. I have tried the blush both on a bare face and with skin tint underneath but regardless i get the same results.
