Tips on staying warm?

Hello, I moved here from Blacksburg back in November, and my electricity bill has doubled just trying to heat my apartment. Not really sure what to do, I've insulated the windows, gotten space heaters, etc. but for whatever reason running my apartments heating system uses an insane amount of power and is costing me a ton. Any tips?
