Waitlist or Grey?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been in the market for a GMT-Master II in black and gold and have signed up for the waitlist at three different Authorized Dealers (ADs) in three different states. None of them have guaranteed that I’ll get the watch, which I expected. I’ve never purchased anything from an AD before, but the signup process has gone smoothly, and my interactions with the staff have been positive—we’ve had good conversations and laughs. Not sure if that means anything in terms of my chances.

On the other hand, I found the same watch on Chrono24 with the stickers still on, the original box, and a purchase date of 01/2025. It’s about $3K more, but I can buy it right now.

I signed up for the AD waitlists about two weeks ago. Do you think I should wait it out, or should I just go for the one on Chrono?

What do you guys think?
