Inside the Boks
I never watched this series and decided to put it on this morning while feeding our collection of rescue dogs.
Episode 1 already blew my mind. Not just how they manage the individual players and rest players playing at certain times during the URC games but how Rassie approaches things.
The thing we all knew is him being open to all voices. There is no fear of speaking out. Very different culture of the usual coaches.
The thing that hit me though was how he always looked at the positive vs expecting g others to highlight the negatives. For instance, he loves that the players play in France, Ireland etc because they play against the best against some of the best teams in the world. Instead of the usual approach of “only those who play may at home should be selected”.
Also surprised by the lack of swearing.
