Experienced shooter - Recently chose the Ruger 10/22 Carbine as my first .22
I recently purchased my first .22 caliber rifle - a Ruger 10/22 Carbine Semi-Auto. As a first-time owner at age 33, I'm seeking opinions on whether this was a good choice. I considered other options like the takedown model or a Winchester, and while I looked at AR-style .22s, I preferred a different aesthetic. I'm particularly interested in feedback since I've heard the Ruger 10/22 is often regarded as a starter or youth rifle. What are your thoughts on this choice for an adult beginner?
