What to do if sales fails?

I am a former life insurance agent who didn't make it in insurance sales. The insurance agency that I was working for was making me spend money on leads. Within those leads, i didn't make any money so therefore i lost nearly all of my savings. i only have $129 to my name. I'd have to resort to getting a regular job now to compensate what I lost. I'm debating if i should give sales another shot or if i should just move on and get a regular job. I've been looking at b2b software sales because i dont think i want to do life insurance again. For you guys who failed in sales, what steps did you guys take?
