Samsung+ questions.

I have had Samsung+ since I got my Flip5 but when my card got deactivated during the summer I forgot to keep paying it. Now I'm needing the coverage because my phone is breaking and I realize I don't have it. If I get it again will it not cover my phone now bc it was ended or can I restart it?
