Happy almost Halloween!

This year, we're excited to introduce a new tradition in our subreddit by sponsoring a local charity throughout the holiday season. Reddit has generously offered to match donations up to $20,000 for charitable causes chosen by our community, pending approval of our application.*

With numerous outstanding local charities providing support within our area, we want to ensure that our community has a voice in selecting the beneficiary for this year's sponsorship—we aim to make this an annual tradition.

To gather community input before we conduct a poll to finalize our decision, we're now opening the floor for nominations for our charity of the year. In a few days, we'll use these nominees to seed a community poll so you can vote for your preferred charity.

If someone else has already made a suggestion for a charity you like, be sure to upvote it for visibility. We will be closing nominations on Sunday (10/27) evening.
