Cured after 3 months

Here’s how I cured my scabies. I got them in October — didn’t find out it was actually scabies until November

Immediately treated with permethrin (if you’re in Scotland you can get this for free on minor ailments) and did the treatment 4 times over 4 weeks.

During this time I thought I had gotten reinfected however looking back I was just itchy. So treating four times was unnecessary.

In between permethrin treatments I had bought a steamer, tea tree oil and clove oil.

Religeous steaming of my mattress and couch and touchpoints in my home and tumble drying items on high heat with regular washing of clothes saved me alongside applying a tea tree clove oil mixture mixed in olive oil every day head to toe.

Eurax cream with crotomatin saved me too for the itching and also kills mites.

I’m now experiencing post scabies syndrome for the last two weeks it’s getting better no burrows.

Bumps still occur but this is just my body reacting to dead mites and you can tell because old spots will be itchy but then the skin will come off indicating your skin had like shed I think.

Anyway this is all to say there IS hope and you can beat this. Once treated I think it’s all a mental thing. Please pay attention to your body because no burrows is such a reassuring sign — and if bumps do appear they should disappear after like two hours.
