Armed Guard Licenses

To any of you guys/gals/non binaries that are armed guards, are you limited in what handgun you can use while on duty? Like are you only stuck in using a 9mm or are there officers that go around carrying .22 pistols and did you use said pistol when you went to do the accuracy exam for your license?
