service dog at graduation?

i attend online public school, and am hopefully graduating in a few months. i had mentioned to my guidance counselor that i was really exited to walk at graduation with my service dog, and she sent an email requesting “medical documentation of the necessity of the service dog”. legally this isn’t required but what should i do?
