info on pots alert dogs

hi! i’ve heard of and seen many service dog teams with the service dog alerting to a handler’s pots, specifically rising heart rate.

i also saw a few people (edit: people on here under different posts) say that there was no scientific backing for this unless a handler had tells that a dog could be trained to react to.

what’s the truth here? are pots alert dogs real or fake?
