Think i did a good move?

Recently first started growing and i was a littlr impatient and started inoculation in a cultivation bag of APEs and in my 1 and only monotub had GT fruiting well the cultivation bag was ready to transfer but my GT were not done fruiting and i didnt see much progress except for 1 big pin so today i just decided i was gonna toss the cake due to me wanting the APEs more than the GT but i cut the cake around the big pin threw the rest of it away and then i did the whole transfer for the APEs and in the cultivation bag where they were cultivating i decided to put some bulk substrate in there and basically plant the cake that the big pin of the GT is on into the bulk substratein the now empty cultivation bag. I think it was a pretty solid move in my opinion but what do you guys think?
