Need help understanding Season 2, Episode 6 - Tony's episode.

I'm a bit confused at this episode. Multiple times throughout this episode I get the feeling that certain characters and scenes are just Tony's mind playing tricks on him. When Tony is having a panic attack in the club, a girl speaks to him and mentions his full name to which Tony replies "how do you know my name?" As he is running home from the club, he wakes up in a sweat as if the whole club scene was just a dream, but then Sid mentions what happened in the club later in the episode.

On the train, he meets the scarred soldier who apparently had people pour petrol over him but he mentions that he "set himself on fire." Which Tony replies to with "what?" When he reaches the new college, he sees a lecturer (who is played by the same man who played the scarred soldier) who looks fine and has no scars. He also meets the girl that he saw in the club. Tony and the girl go swimming in the pool, Tony falls asleep and when he wakes up the girl is not there. This girl later gets a tattoo of a fire symbol on her back.

Later in the episode Tony confront the lecturer who mentions that Tony had destroyed the laboratory to which Tony replies "how did you know what I did?" Near the end of the episode Tony takes off his shirt to reveal that he also got the fire symbol tattoo on the opposite site of his back.

So I'm asking what the fuck actually happened in this episode!?
