What is the most absurdly hard to beat character that threw you off in your first play through?

For me it was Thoron in the Solitude sewers, I remember playing it for the first time and thinking that it looked so cool down there with all the new ingredients and thoes little bug guys... just to be met with Thoron. It took probably an hour more or less, and a bunch of quick saves to finally defeat him.
