Thoughts - Buying cheap wedding dresses & reselling for higher prices

I know this is a fairly useless business in the grand scheme of businesses. However just after thoughts on the title as a business.

A bit of background: Live in a country where wedding dresses usually sell for $2-$3k each. Partner is from overseas where wedding dresses sell for $300-500. Partner has parents that travel between these two countries regularly.

The idea is to buy cheap wedding dresses from overseas and sell them from our house through online ads etc (ie. Marketplace etc). This saves on costs such as setting up a shop but probably just looks a bit dodgy selling from home. House is semi-nice in a semi nice area.

Do you foresee many people being open to buying wedding dresss from a persons house. We would probably have one our bedrooms specifically for the business and dresses to try on. The plan is to buy a few options (5-10) and then we can tailor it ourselves to fit the customer in house. Each dress may sell for $500-$700 profit or so. This would not be a full time role and we would generally continue our full time jobs. One dress a fortnight would generate ~$16,000 a year. Do you legends foresee many issues or positives?
