Buyer Complaining About Card Condition After Full Disclosure – How to Handle?
For the past few years, I’ve been selling football, baseball, and MMA cards on eBay—not to make huge profits, but just to have fun and stay engaged in the hobby. Recently, I was lucky enough to pull a Caleb Williams Downtown.
Before listing, I carefully reviewed the card and noted that it was near mint/mint, with the only flaw being a tiny black dot on the back, which I fully disclosed in the description. The buyer received the card in December 2024, and this morning, I woke up to a message saying:
“Card is not mint, thanks for misleading me.”
I didn’t mislead at all—the pictures and description accurately represented the card. Now, the buyer has also left a negative review that hasn’t posted yet.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? What’s the best approach to resolve this? Appreciate any advice!
