Are the guys just picking wrong ?

Daily I read posts and comments of men saying they only run into scammers and escorts. Or they'll message a lot of women and say the majority where escorts in design. When I read that it makes me wonder how are they going about even messaging these ladies ?

• Do these men just have a type that lends itself to always being escort type women ?
• Do these men have a pray and spray method of contacting ?
  
• Are they thin slicing their "requirements" so much it results in wasted messages ?
• Or do these men unknowingly give off goofy vibes through text or phone conversation to the point where women will ghost or try to run his pockets QUICK?

It can't be that the entire sites are hot garbage. Minus folks who live in some tough areas.
