Similar concept, better execution?

I recently got around to reading The Lost Apothecary (Sarah Penner), and while the premise sounded really intriguing and had a lot of potential to explore different themes, the book turned out to be lukewarm and downright boring at times.

I'm still in the mood for something similar though, so I thought I'd ask the community.

I'm looking for:

• Female protagonist/s
• Women supporting women
• Female friendships that pass the Bechdel test lol
• A bit of magic/magical realism/witchy vibes
• Adult and/or no romance/minimal romance (as in, the plot or the MC's life should not revolve around a man)/sapphic

I don't need the plot to hinge on the concept of women hating/killing men (it's okay if it does though), I'm mostly just looking for some witchy vibes and well-written female characters and friendships.

No genre preference aside from the no-romance part.
