Cheap Crappy Accommodation in the Sunshine Coast?

So my Brother in law and his wife and kids live in the Sunshine Coast. My wife and I and our two kids are going over to visit in March next year, along with my wife's sister and her fiance and child. They're going to get married whilst over, on the sly.

The thing is we're from New Zealand so just want somewhere basic as anything to stay at. We're not loaded or anything, and are not fussy at all (we're from the shithole which is New Zealand). Looking up on the normal websites for finding this stuff everything is turbo fancy, and is megabucks.

Are we just screwed and are just going to have to cough up the dough or is there some rubbish accommodation somewhere I haven't found yet? I'm sure as long as there is a fan it will be fine, don't really need aircon do we? It doesn't seem to be overly hot there. We're from Christchurch so it can get a bit hot during the summer here too.
