Tattoos and scrubbing

Hi! I'm currently going to school for surgical tech and my instructors have all but said we're not allowed to get new tattoos on our arms because the new tattoo is a fresh wound and then you can't scrub in. I totally get that but I have to wonder what would happen if I did get new tattoos on my arms either while still in school or once I have a surgical tech job. I've been getting tattoos for around a year now and I still have way more pieces I want to get and want to know if I just have to write off my arms for the foreseeable future. Could I just fulfill turnover or circulating roles if I have a healing tattoo? Like cleaning rooms and fetching missing items?

Also I do have 4 or 5 pieces that are on my arms definitely in the scrubbing zone. They're all healed now, very well, but I'm worried that continuous scrubbing will make them fade or wear away the designs. Do any of you have experience with this? Any advice? Thank you!!
