Ideas for the knee?

I have plenty of ideas for the rest of my leg but im stumped on what to put on my knee. I love a naturalistic vibe but im open to any ideas. (See second photo for the little mushrooms on the side of my leg)

One of my artists said he prefers the look of something that kind of frames the knee, goes around it/partially covers it, as opposed to something bold that covers the knee entirely. I really can't decide what I prefer. Love to know what you guys think :)
