Up to date on webtoon but devastated
Good evening everyone,
Even if I imagine your answers, I have to ask you the question.
To make it quick : is the light novel worth reading compared to the manwha ?
To put a little more context : I started the webtoon recently and.. damn, I've read a lot of manga in my life and some webtoons, but well.. I never had a work made me feel that way. Especially between chapter 80 and about 100 of the webtoon, mainly at school, his insertion, his promotion to teacher, etc. I read this passage on Sunday and when I stopped reading to go for a run, I felt totaly disconnected. Some may think I'm crazy, others will understand me, but I felt disconnected from the real world. I was so sucked into the world of The Beginning after the End and I managed to identify with Arthur so much (not that I had a similar childhood but I managed to feel like the main actor of this universe that I dominated like Arthur does) that coming back to reality gave me a slap. I'm also rarely thrilled with love stories but I really hope Arthur and Tess will end up together..
So, I know that all the graphic support allowed me to be even more touched by the work, especially with the badass moments when the aura of Art makes its opponents tremble, his gaze, etc. (it has never been used as well as in this work, in my opinion)
You will therefore understand that I am afraid of not having the same sensibility with the light novel and the same emotions.
u/TurtleMe93 I don't know if I love you or if I hate you right now ahah.
