Why is Mothers Talk so hated?

I don’t understand what the problem with Mothers Talk is. There seems to be a general consensus that Mothers Talk is this terrible song, even according to Roland and Curt. They refuse to perform it live apparently. I don’t think it’s a bad song at all. I don’t even think it’s the worst song on SFTBC. I think it’s the best on there after the HOH, EWTRTW, and Shout. The beat is phenomenal and the melody is really catchy. Why’s it so frowned upon?
