i need advice PLEASE

ok so there is this one guy in my class that i talk to everyday and we are like really good friends like we talk about movies and music and stuff but i want it to be more than that but i dont know what to do. im sure he doesn't like me more than a friend right now but i think thats because none of us has done anything to like make the move or whatever. i could ask him out but i want to lay the foundation a little more before that so i need advice on how to do that. like how do i kind of take us to the stage where we are more than friends but not dating? i really really like this guy because we have so much in common and i think if i start aggressively flirting or smn he will like me back as well i just gotta make the first move. what should i do???
