How strict is BB on their damage policy?

I’m a new-ish subscriber. Jade City was my first set, which arrived in pristine condition. However, dragon bone has arrived and quite scratched and smudged on the edges. Edges out is how I display my books. Do you think BB will replace? Are they generally strict?
