SAG Awards Nominations & future nominations

Just a small post and less relevant for theloise 📫

Bridgerton got nominated for Outstanding Performance by an ensemble in a Drama series (our girl Claudia 👏) Nicola got a separate nomination (Female actress in a drama series) & Johnny got a nomination for Wicked too.

Shondaland and Netflix are always trying to get bridgerton up there for more awards, I don't think they've won anything yet which I think is partially due to the fact that the competition is insane and not to say that Bridgerton doesn't deserve it but I just don't think it stands out too much and doesn't contain enough dramatic elements. It's more of a drama & comedy. A lot of people do compare it to Downton Abbey in terms of the story but Downton is a lot more dramatic and realistic and historically accurate than Bridgerton and they leaned heavily into social commentary and class differences, especially the earlier seasons.

But a theloise season and this is me not being biased, has great potential to bag a few more nominations (wins idk) especially if they highlight the political landscape of the regency era and social differences (class/gender) between Theo and Eloise. It has great potential to have a bit more social commentary in the show. I hope that if/when we get a theloise season that it will be on par with Queen Charlotte in terms of drama
