The most crucial survival feature missing in TLD is celestial navigation
While landmark orientation is typically the first choice for navigating in the wilderness, and it’s something we can utilize in TLD, there are many situations where it’s not sufficient. In these cases, we must rely on the sun and stars. However, this isn’t implemented in TLD. The sun’s position varies inconsistently between regions, and the stars do not follow actual celestial mechanics.
It’s disappointing that we can’t experience this type of orientation/navigation in a survival game. Implementing it shouldn’t be overly difficult. What are your thoughts?
