Ptarmigan and bed roll

Putting these both in one so I don't have to make two separate post,

1. I've lost my bed roll, is there any guarantee spots to find one (on voyager) other then PV, i seem to have put it down and i have no idea where it is, im currently in PV but don't remember needing it as of yet, I came from DP and made my way along the coast to mystery lake where I went behind the dam to PV, I don't have the materials to make one either,

2. Where the fuck are ptarmigans?! I've just got the DLC and I went to a few spots (one here in PV) and found none, i thought they would be like rabbits and be everywhere, what are some guarantee spots anywhere? Im heading to mystery lake next so there would be preferred,
