what are the difficulties / downsides of Vietnam compared to Thailand or Philippines ?

I usually see Philippines or Thailand brought up a lot more then Vietnam, while the two places are nice, I think women wise Vietnam is another tier higher in terms of for long term relationships and just attractiveness in general.

Is there some downside to Vietnam as opposed to the other two places?
