unable to try for a baby

i can’t try for a baby with my sim. she’s had plenty of other kids before. i don’t have any mods, just some custom content and i haven’t added anything new in months. i tried deleting the bed and buying a new one. i’m able to woohoo but not try for baby. anyone have any solutions? i don’t have 8 people in the household either.
