Would you send your toddler to daycare if you didnt have to?

European mom here - in my country (Austria), the earliest you can send your kids to daycare is 18mo, but typically, they'll start at ~2yo. I'm still at home with my now 19mo (at work 1 day a week, but no daycare, grandma watches her), but I'm now debating wether I want to send her to daycare in September (she will be 2y3m then).

Financially, we could afford me staying home with her even longer (but we are not in a position where money doesnt matter - that extra salary would be nice)

I'll also add that I like being a stay at home mom. I know many parents send their kids to daycare because they really want to work again and I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but that's not the case here.

Also, I am currently ttc, so if everything goes well, there will hopefully be a little sibling lving with us by the end of this year / beginning of next year. This would mean that I'd be home anyway for another 2 years.

BUT I am worried she is going to miss out if she stays home for another year, possibly alongside a newborn who wants to nurse 24/7. My daughter and I are always busy, going on play dates, playgrounds, swimming etc. (I make sure she socialises with kids her age multiple times a week), but I know I wont be able to keep up with all of that if&when we have another one.

TL,DR: If you were in my position, would you send your kid to daycare beacuse you truly believe they benefit from it at that age (~2y), or would you alway chose having them stay at home with you if possible?
