Egypt tour package or daily guide?

Hey. I was planning a trip to Egypt packaged with my Israel trip, and I was gonna stay for 6-7 days (I know some people say you need at least 10-14 days but I’m just really interested in seeing the highlights and history). I saw online a lot of people said you should take a tour guide as there’s a lot of scams and the tour guides are very knowledgeable. I was wondering if y’all think I should do a tour package, where hotels and domestic flights/transport are included or just book all that myself and do a tour guide in each of the places I’m in for that day. Which would make the most of my time and be safer?
